You

pause, be still

Breathe in and feel the swell of your belly

You are alive

You are glorious

each breath is a celebration

a chance

to wrap your dreams around your shoulders

and set off

like a comic book superhero

a child with nothing ahead but the wild frontier

the Future

You

pause, be still

Breathe in and notice the warmth of your hands,

the soft brush of air against your neck

You are alive

You are a child on the edge of the wild Future

with your dreams wrapped around you

like a cape
